So I made this Coffee Table out of an old ALTO Sign (which I vandalized, and means STOP) and a utility wooden crate which I got for $5. Just painted it black and the sign fit perfectly.

Then I gathered 12 different colored palettes, in blue, yellow, red and green, and had them cut. they were originally 48” x 48” and were cut to 48” x 32”. I just washed them thoroughly, painted them a bit where paint was missing, and assembled them, no screws or anything to hold them together. Threw in a slim mattress and there it is.

For the media center (the piece of furni the TV is on) I found a damaged cabinet on the trash and just sandpapered and painted it. Also had to adjust the height of the shelf so as to fit the sound system.

I like the way it looks with white walls, alot of black and alot of colors on the palettes and mattresses, but I may wanna change the mattresses in the future as they are not that comfy, they’re just OK. Also I’m planning on adding some sort of back support, some padding against the wall would be nice to relax.

Finally I added a coat hanger on the wall, which is actually the lid of the wooden crate from the coffee table, got the hooks on The Home Depot for about $2 each.

Very easy and fun project, but mostly fitting my current budget :)
